Merlo Station Alumni |
The goal of this site is to pretty much just to 'be there' in case anyone is searching for any other NRST alumni and want to get in contact with them, especially for a 10-year reunion or something of that sort.

More updates to the site. It was found that a few people that had their
information submitted weren't being properly shown to due some anti-spam measures the
site was using. This has been fixed; apologies to those who were not being shown on
the site.
In other news, the 2006-2007 school year will be the last year that Beth Deal will be at NRST / STT. She is leaving for the Medical Magnet program next year.

Oops, the downtime was a little longer than expected, but the emails are all finally working again. Various CMS systems have been tested to see what would make sense for this site and one should be installed soon. This will make updates faster (and easier), including more in-depth profiles of NRST alumni. Also, it's 2007, which means that it's the year for the Class of '97 for their reunion! This is a reminder however that NRST.org is here to facilitate communication for class members, but not run the actual reunion. We do encourage graduates of the '97 class to talk to each other and make a reunion happen. We will gladly help with information and whatever assistance possible to those parties interested in making it happen. So, if there are any volunteers for the '97 class, please, don't be shy and volunteer.

Not a lot of updates, but we are still alive here at NRST. The site just got moved to a new
server so the emails aren't working properly, but a new forum is going to be installed as
well as CMS system to provide better profiles and updates of alumni. An email will be sent
across the NRST list when the new site has been announced. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The forums have been added to the site and major updates have taken place across the
boards for all alumni years. Please register at the boards to view more detailed information
about events and alumni in the future. Thanks!

For the Winter of 2005, there will be an alumni reunion for all Merlo / NRST / SST alumni.
Here are the details from the current student leadership:
Dear NRST Alums:
We are having out Alumni day and evening dance on Friday, December 16st, 2005. If
you would like to come, we would be overjoyed to have you. Please try to
arrive between 9:00 and 9:15am and go to the fitness room. We will have a
sign in for all of you Alums to let us know who is there, as well as some
other information we will need to know. You will have until about 10:10 to
hang out and catch up with each other, at which point the rest of the school
will enter. From 10:10 until 11:40 you all will be introducing yourselves to
the school, and saying a bit about yourself.
Lunch will be from 11:55 - 12:40 and pizza will provided at $1 a slice.
Afterwards we will be breaking into five small groups. There will be three
mixed groups (people from community, state and private colleges, as well as
those who are working), one group of just people in state schools, and one
group that is just private schools. These are informal discussions about what
life is like after SST and what people will need to know to do well. We will
give you a list of questions that you can work off of incase the
conversation falters. At 2:00 we will rap up the day and this will be a
chance for current students to just talk with you.
From 7:00pm - 10:00pm that night, will be the Alumni dance and social. Due
to district rules you can not bring any friends, dates, or even spouses. If
you have an issue with this, please contact Mrs. Deal. Since we do not have
contact information for many of the Alums we would greatly appreciate it if
you could pass this on to all of your fellow alums.
If anyone was doing a search on Classmates.com and was looking for NRST alumni there, you'll want to search under the School of Science and Technology, which is the new classification for the Natural Resources Science Technology program at Merlo Station High School.

We simply wanted to have an online presence and made sure that any past NRST or Merlo Station students looking for members of their class would be able to do so. We also hope this can be the jump board for the upcoming 10 year reunion for the earlier classes at Merlo Station.
Two members of the class of '98, Grant Yuan (webmaster) and Abel Paz (sidekick). Being the honorable recipients of the Merlo Station 'School Spirit Letter' (no laughing, please), we decided we would do our part in keeping the torch lit. So if you are an alumni, we would like to hear from you.
The official SST website. This site seems to undergo a change every year or so, but it has relevant information on it.

NRST is not affiliated with the national retail sales tax. This word is only added here as a ploy for our own devious purposes. Well, kinda. One of the admins is currently is employed in an industry that revolves around internet search, so there is a reason for this.
